Our staff team is made up of professional teachers and nursery assistants supported by a Deputy and Principal. All have a passion for children and offer strong support for our families. Each member of the team is selected for the passion they have for children and for a love of the outdoor environment. Each staff member offers strong support for the children and that is extended to help support parents through changes and decisions regarding their children.
Many have been at Chives Montessori for over five years demonstrating their commitment to the special Montessori community we have here. All staff have received in-house Montessori training, so they understand the importance of order and freedom in the classroom as well as the need for grace and courtesy. They are adept at following children’s interests, providing developmentally appropriate activities and ensuring that the interdependency of all living things takes priority.
We have very thorough and robust recruitment processes in place ensuring staff employed hold at least a level 2 in Childcare or Montessori qualifications. However the most important attribute is that they have a passion for children and have experience in caring for them.
